Expert knowledge for customers –training and trade fairs
In our approximately 50 seminars per year (wood) flooring installers, screed and tile layers, and interior designers are given the opportunity to learn about our products and their uses and to have direct discussions with our application engineers here. In order to maintain contact with our customers, partners and interested parties even during pandemic periods, we are constantly working on the development of new digital ideas and possibilities. In addition to the large number of new user films and a cross-brand annual theme film, training videos from all brands have also been integrated as information and training aids. UZIN UTZ Group wins another AXIA BEST MANAGED COMPANIES AWARD
UZIN UTZ has once again been honored with the Axia Best Managed Companies Award (BMC) for its strategic vision, innovative strength, outstanding corporate culture, and exemplary management. This award is given to medium-sized companies by various institutions such as the auditing and consulting company Deloitte. The programme evaluates companies based on the four core areas of strategy, productivity and innovation, culture and commitment, and governance and finance. UZIN UTZ was able to convince in all four. "Despite our company history of over 100 years, we have remained a young company that is characterised by its dynamism, innovative strength and short decision-making processes," Philipp Utz made clear at the award ceremony.
Sustainable logistics, an important issue for the future
We want to be a reliable and innovative partner for our customers. We prove this through optimised inventory and excellent delivery performance. Digitalisation supports us in this. We regard our storage and transport service providers as partners with whom we want to grow sustainably. Therefore, our partners must also assume economic, ecological and social-ethical responsibility. Thus, the UZIN UTZ Group consciously extends the focus of its own sustainability efforts to distribution logistics. Sustainability requirements, for example in the form of a code of conduct, are communicated to logistics service providers. In addition, administrative processes are to be optimised through digital solutions. Process optimisations have already saved 150,000 sheets of paper per year in distribution logistics in Ulm.
