Group key figures in detail as at the end of the third quarter of 2025

By the end of September, Uzin Utz achieved sales revenues of €381.6 million, exceeding the previous year's figure (€360.2 million) by 5.9%. The increase in sales revenues is mainly driven by higher earnings in two of Uzin Utz's three core markets, Germany and the Netherlands. The strongest growth was recorded by Uzin Utz SE (headquartered in Ulm) and its subsidiary Uzin Utz Nederland bv. However, the growth markets USA, the UK and France, as well as the aspirant markets as a whole, also developed positively. EBIT amounted to €31.8 million with an EBIT margin of 8.3% (as at 30 September 2024: 8.2%). Compared to the previous year, EBIT increased by 8.0%. This was mainly due to the increase in sales and an easing of the situation on the procurement markets.

‘We are delighted that we have been able to record an increase in sales despite the ongoing challenges in the construction industry. This development is an indication for the resilience of our business model and for the commitment of our employees, who drive Uzin Utz forward day after day. A slight easing on the procurement markets has also helped to reduce the cost of materials ratio and had a positive impact on our earnings performance,’ explains Christian Richter, CFO at Uzin Utz.

Outlook with optimism for recovery in the construction industry

Despite a slight stabilisation so far this year, Uzin Utz's outlook for the coming months remains cautious. The International Monetary Fund expects global growth of 3.2% in 2025, indicating a further slowdown in the global economy. ‘The overall economic environment remains volatile, and temporary effects which supported the economy in the first half of the year – such as the frontloading effects resulting from US import tariff increases – faded in the third quarter of 2025,’ explains Christian Richter. ‘In some of our core and growth markets, there has been no noticeable recovery in construction activity yet. According to current surveys, construction output in 2025 is declining or rising only slightly in several regions relevant to Uzin Utz,’ Richter continues.

Nevertheless, Uzin Utz is optimistic about the future. ‘Our strong market position, clear strategic focus and the high level of commitment shown by our employees give us confidence that we will continue to grow, even in a persistently challenging environment,’ Richter concluded.
