UZIN UTZ defends top position as "best employer"

Ulm, Februar 2019 – UZIN UTZ, a globally active full-range supplier of flooring systems based in Ulm, Germany, has once again this year achieved the top position as an employer in the sector category "Manufacture of construction materials and materials, metals and paper". In the annual analysis of "Germany's best employers" by the news magazine Focus, UZIN UTZ also ranks 57th in the overall ranking of all employers in Germany. The employee survey is the largest representative survey of employer attractiveness in Germany. UZIN UTZ is honoured with this award for the fourth time in a row.

UZIN UTZ is one of the top employers in Germany. This is the result of a ranking published by Focus-Business in cooperation with Xing, the leading social network for professional contacts, and kununu.com, the job evaluation portal for employees, trainees and applicants. For the fourth time in a row, the Ulm-based family-owned company has been ranked among the 1,000 most popular employers in the country. UZIN UTZ achieved the first place in the industry category ?production of building and materials, metals and paper? In the overall ranking, UZIN UTZ ranked 57th among the 1,000 listed companies, in some cases well ahead of several well-known, considerably larger Dax companies. "It makes me very proud that we were able to defend the top position in our industry for the fourth time in succession," says Julian Utz, member of the Executive Board. "This award is proof of the continuity that characterizes our culture of appreciation as a family company and of the fact that our investments in the working environment have paid off.”

In order to determine the 1,000 top national employers, the market research institute Statista evaluated more than 143,500 employer assessments - they were taken from an independent online survey, a survey among Xing members and current kununu data. The decisive factor was above all whether the employees would recommend their own employer to others. The calculation also included the previous year's data with a low weighting.

Average length of service over ten years

Evidence of the company's successful personnel work is also the average length of service of more than ten years. In addition, UZIN UTZ tries to keep its employees satisfied, fit and motivated through numerous measures. These include, for example, a free fitness room with regular sports courses at the company headquarters in Ulm's Donautal valley, an international exchange programme with subsidiaries abroad and holiday care for employees' children during the summer holidays.
