Uzin Utz focuses on diverse growth with “GROW BIGGER”
With its new corporate strategy “GROW BIGGER” Uzin Utz, an international manufacturer of products and systems for floor installation, is setting the course for the coming years. “GROW BIGGER” follows on from the previous strategy “Passion 2025” and marks the beginning of a new growth phase for the company – another chapter in its 114-year history.
Despite an increasingly challenging economic environment and geopolitical uncertainties, the company has developed successfully in recent years and continued to grow. From this very strong starting position, Uzin Utz intends to make targeted use of the existing momentum and continue its successful corporate development. “GROW BIGGER” is a clear commitment to transformation and long-term competitiveness. Uzin Utz combines its roots as a tradition-conscious family business with the determination to tap into new markets, expand its target groups, and sustainably expand its role. In doing so, Uzin Utz is initiating another major change process in the company's history.
“GROW BIGGER” provides answers to numerous structural changes in the global market environment. Although Uzin Utz currently occupies a leading position in its niche, limited growth opportunities, increasing global consolidation, and competitive pressure from larger, more diversified market players require new approaches. At the same time, regulation and commoditization pose potentially disruptive changes to the premium positioning of individual product groups. Against this backdrop, Uzin Utz wants to consciously outgrow its niche, open up new growth paths at an early stage, and secure maximum freedom of action for the future.
“GROW BIGGER” – we are not hitting our limits, we are expanding them
GROW BIGGER” stands for scalable, sustainable growth. In the long term, Uzin Utz is aiming to achieve sales of one billion euros. By 2030, the company aims to achieve average sales growth of 8 to 12 percent per year, with an EBIT margin of over 10 percent. In addition, the company wants to continue to position itself as an attractive employer and achieve a recommendation rate of over 90 percent. Its innovative strength is to be further strengthened by a higher rate of innovation. Another key component of the strategy is measurable sustainability, including the goal of reducing CO₂ emissions in Scope 1 and 2 by a further 25 percent.
To achieve these goals, Uzin Utz will consistently leverage its strength as a group. All business units will become even more internationally oriented in the future, with the aim of winning loyal fans among customers worldwide. In addition to craftsmen and retailers, industrial customers will also become a greater focus in the future. In Uzin Utz's understanding, its positioning in the market will be consistently characterized by added value in quality, innovation, and sustainability. Together with its customers, Uzin Utz wants to grow sustainably and healthily – in all directions and beyond existing boundaries.
The “GROW BIGGER” strategy is holistic in nature and applies to all areas of the company. It defines the binding framework for the joint development of Uzin Utz in the coming years – with the clear aim of not reaching limits, but rather expanding them in a targeted manner.
