UZIN UTZ IS ONE OF THE MOST SUSTAINABLE COMPANIES IN BADEN-WÜRTTEMBERG
For the second time since 2016, the globally active full-range supplier of flooring systems was nominated for the prestigious environmental award for companies in Baden-Württemberg in 2022. The construction chemicals manufacturer from Ulm was able to convince the jury this year and received the award in the category of industrial companies with more than 250 employees.
BUNDLED BRAND EXPERTISE AT THE UZIN UTZ CAMPUS 2022
Craftsmanship on the floor, on the wall and with the right tools - this is what the Uzin Utz Campus 2022 conveys, which presents the know-how of all Group brands in a bundled form to mark the 111th anniversary. On September 30, around 500 interested parties took part in the trade event under the motto "Workshops. Knowledge. Advancing" at the Ulm exhibition center.
UZIN UTZ AT ARCHITECT@WORK 2022: NEW COLOR WORLDS FOR FLOW COATINGS
At the opening event of the Architect@Work trade fair series in Berlin, Uzin Utz, the globally active full-range supplier of flooring systems, presented the must-haves in floor coatings. This year, the focus of the trade fair stand was on flow coatings, above all the new color worlds of the subsidiary brand Arturo.

UZIN UTZ provides tender texts for all areas of the Group: From rapid and lightweight screeds, moisture barriers, installation systems for textile and resilient floors as well as parquet to bonded waterproofing, tile and natural stone installation and surface restoration.
For special requirements, such as renovations, problematic substrates, special stresses, moisture barrier, impact sound improvement or underground garages, we will be happy to advise you on a project-specific basis. We are also available to assess the construction site on site.

BIM – Building Information Modeling
Digitization is also advancing in construction. With Building Information Modeling, or BIM for short, construction projects can be digitized right from the start and important details of planning, execution and infrastructure can be mapped in the digital model. Many planning participants must work together smoothly throughout the entire life cycle of a building. In particular, this also involves the sustainable disposal of buildings after their useful life. By being able to localize the building materials used in a building, they can be recycled and reused in a targeted and professional manner even after decades.
UZIN UTZ has also developed a BIM-capable plug-in for ArchiCAD and Revit, setting the course for the future of floor planning. With the plug-in, architects and planners can load a wide range of our components into their CAD program. The use of the plug-in provides transparency and planning reliability and shapes the construction of the future quickly, efficiently and economically.

HIGHLY RESILIENT SCREED CONSTRUCTION IN CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY
Where post-war buildings dominated, the new construction project BGZ2 in the so-called "Neue Mitte Geretsried" creates attractive space for retail, 95 apartments, offices and gastronomy. Kehrbaum Architekten from Munich planned the redensification of the residential space including an underground garage extension as well as the design of the row of stores with microshops, drugstore and grocery store as a place of encounter.
CONCENTRATED SOIL EXPERTISE AT THE ORANGE CAMPUS - "SUCCESS NEEDS GOOD SOIL".
Under the motto "Success needs good soil", we, the UZIN UTZ Group, have been intensively associated with the national basketball league team "ratiopharm ulm" as a sponsoring partner since 2014 and were involved in the impressive Orange Campus construction project as an anchor partner. ZUGSPITZE: SOLID FLOORBOARD GLUED TO EXISTING TILE FLOOR
Performing work on Germany's highest construction site - not everyone can claim that. The company Raumausstattung Kraus from Grainau can. The team led by Bernhard Kraus laid solid floorboards over an area of around 800 m² in the renovated Panorama Restaurant at the summit station. The challenge was to find a customized renovation solution under difficult logistical as well as climatic conditions. The high-performance installation materials from Uzin guaranteed a safe and visually flawless result.
FLOOR LEVELING FOR HISTORIC BUILDING WITH IDIOSYNCRATIC STATICS
Severe unevenness and subfloor breakouts must be leveled for a suitable floor structure. High weight per unit area is often the result. Due to the statics, this represents a major challenge, especially in the renovation and repair of historic buildings.
RAPID OCCUPANCY IN NEW DAYCARE CENTER THANKS TO LOW-EMISSION MOISTURE BARRIERS
On a plot of land next to an existing kindergarten, the municipality of Künzelsau built a new daycare center using a timber frame construction. Very low-emission, ecological and sustainable materials were expressly desired. The completion date was fixed, the flooring had to be laid on time according to the construction schedule, and all trades had to complete their work on time. The challenge here was an approximately eight-centimeter-thick cement screed with underfloor heating that had too much residual moisture.
QUICK PAVEMENT CHANGE IN NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE
Neuschwanstein is one of the most visited castles and palaces in Europe. Around 1.4 million people visit the fairytale castle of King Ludwig II of Bavaria in Schwangau in the Allgäu region every year. In summer, more than 6,000 visitors often crowd through the rooms every day. Clearly, the flooring on the walkways has to withstand a lot. The subfloor and the adhesive also have to withstand the very highest loads. For the current renovation of the hard-wearing floor coverings in corridors and on walkways, the Kempten State Building Authority wanted a fast, safe and clean solution. After in-depth consultation, it opted for installation with the dry adhesive on Sigan 1 foil backing from Uzin - on a decoupling mat and stainless steel sheet. This provides optimum protection for the historic stone floor, and the new coverings can be removed without leaving any residue if necessary.
