Designing the Future | Building and Flooring of the Future

What, how, when, why and where do we want to develop, plan, build and operate in the future? What products, materials, processes and qualities will be used? These were the overarching guiding questions of the DESIGNING THE FUTURE initiative initiated by Drees & Sommer, which culminated in the Circular Design, Building and Construction Summit in Berlin on November 18 & 19, 2022.

The summit was a marketplace for future design with a mix of congress, discussion panels, impulses, workshops and exhibition. The event focused on innovations and solution approaches for sustainable construction and real estate developments.

UZIN UTZ was also represented at the event with its KAM team. In the workshop "Floors of the Future - What will sustain us in the future?", Frank Wittkowski and Stefan Dröge reported on the sustainable future of the flooring industry.

In the "Material Talk", our board member Philipp Utz presented the Group's sustainable product solutions (UZIN HydroBlock System, Biber parquet milling machine, biomass balance method, ...), our circular economy system and gave insights into the future of the construction industry.
